Discover Kakkadampoyil
Kakkadampoyil is a hill village in the Koodaranji panchayat of Kozhikode district, set high on the Western Ghats at altitudes of roughly 700 to 2,100 feet. Cool air, deep valleys and dense forest make it one of the most refreshing escapes in the Malabar region.
It sits about 50 km from Kozhikode city, 24 km from Nilambur and 19 km from Thiruvambadi — close enough for a weekend, yet a world away from city life. Here are the experiences we recommend to guests staying at our resort in Kakkadampoyil.

About 24 km away, Nilambur is famous for its teak forests and the Teak Museum — an easy half-day trip from the hills.
Things to do at Purayil Resort
Some of the best moments happen without leaving the resort. Swim in the palm-fringed pool (beautifully lit at night), try live fishing at the garden pond, walk through the golden bamboo grove and our plantation and orchards, or end the evening around the common campfire. Take a look in our photo gallery.
Travelling as a group? Book a match on our floodlit football turf or host a celebration in the ship-shaped auditorium.
